These past few weeks, I have been enjoying playing and exploring with the new Procreate 5.4 brushes. I have a few favorites that I shared last week in the gouache and watercolor brushsets. I started with gouache and watercolor are my favorite analog mediums to work with, and I wanted to see if I could recreate my style from analog painting in the digital world. These last week or so, I’ve been exploring the “Paints” brushset in Procreate 5.4 new brush library. I love the texture of a lot of the brushes in this new library. I created a bold red flowers in a glass flower vase artwork with one of my favorite brushes in that brushset, the Abalone brush. It is a very textured brush and fun for loose brush strokes. With that artwork, I share a short video on how I turn my Procreate artwork into a pattern using Affinity Designer. I am sharing that video below. It is a short video, and if you are looking for inspiration or to learn how to turn your own Procreate artwork into Patterns using Affinity Designer, this is a perfect way to start.
I hope you enjoy the video of another behind-the-scenes process below.
